“Dreaming of becoming an actor? Sometimes, it takes more than just numerology to make your dream come true. Read @iambollywoodbaba’s experience and learn that hard work, looks, and luck factor all play a significant role in one’s success in the industry.
Don’t give up on your dreams yet!”
I always dreamt of becoming an actor, ever since I was a child. Watching Amitabh Bachchan movies fueled my fascination with Hindi cinema, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. But dreaming is one thing and turning it into reality is another. So I had to work for a living, but the dream never faded away.
I remember 12-13 years back when numerology was what most Bollywood actors believed in, including Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn. I decided to change my name according to numerology, hoping that it would help me in my career. I went to the same numerologist that the stars went to, and after analyzing my name, birth date, etc., he suggested that I share the same numerology number 2 with Shah Rukh Khan. He made a letter change in my name, and my name and surname added up to number 1, just like Shah Rukh Khan’s name.
He told me that I have similar qualities to Shah Rukh Khan and that I need to market myself as an upmarket guy with an attitude of a star to achieve success in Bollywood. He quoted the famous line, “Jo Dikhta hai wahi Bikhta hai.” It all made sense to me, and I started to work on myself as per his suggestions.
But things didn’t work out as I expected. Despite all the changes, I still had to work hard, and luck also played a crucial role. As they say, “10 percent talent and 90 percent luck” is a crucial part of your struggle to be an actor. Another important factor is being at the right place and the right time.
After all these years, I realized that changing my name didn’t change anything. Hard work, looks, and ultimately luck factor all play a significant role in one’s success in the industry. So, dream on, be positive, do good karma, and everything will fall into place. I haven’t given up on my dream yet, and neither should you. See you at the movies! – @iambollywoodbaba
